About Glendowie OSCARS

Author: admin, 11 04th, 2015

Glendowie OSCARS provides Out of School Care services at Glendowie School. We provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for children.
Many children come to OSCARS while parents are working or studying, and others come to spend time, playing with their friends.

Glendowie OSCARS offers an environment where children can play, relax, socialise, unwind, try new things, and be active and creative with other children.

What happens at OSCARS?
Glendowie OSCARS is based in the Glendowie School Hall and has use of the various school facilities; we are staffed by experienced and trained staff, and high school students. There are always at least two staff and a ratio of 1:10

We know how important feeling safe is and we make a real effort to get to know every child. Glendowie OSCARS is open to children in Year 0 – Year 8. With a wide range of ages and interests our programme is flexible to respond to current interests. There is a mix of child‐initiated and staff- initiated activities.

Children are encouraged to make choices about how to spend their leisure time at oscars, while maintaining safe boundaries and supervision. There is access to a range of equipment and materials which they are free to use in their own play, supported, extended, and encouraged by staff.
